Westminster Abbey
Review
The Collegiate Church
of St Peter at Westminster, which is almost always referred to popularly and informally as Westminster Abbey, is a large, mainly Gothic church, in Westminster, London, England (UK), located just to the west of the Palace of Westminster (...) (from Wikipedia).
The coronation ceremonies
of Britain's monarchs have taken place in this most famous abbey in London. It is also the burial site of the past monarchs and the pantheon of the nation's great figures. In fact, you can scan the history of the United Kingdom at this site, and a comprehensive visit will take a few hours. You should devote at least an hour for a visit to the Abbey. The initial structure was erected back in the 12th century, and additional parts of the abbey were added later on. The main hall was built at the end of the 14th century, and the Henry VII Chapel was added in 1519. Around the internal yard you can visit several museums. Entrance is at a fee.
