Eiffel Tower
Review
The Eiffel Tower (nickname La dame de fer, the iron lady) is an 1889 iron lattice tower located on the Champ de Mars in Paris that has become both a global icon of France and one of the most recognizable structures in the world (...) (from Wikipedia).
Love it or hate it, nothing says Paris more than the Eiffel Tower. Yet this latticework of iron was only supposed to be temporary, a commission built to impress visitors at the Universal Exhibition in 1889. Now it’s an open-air museum, offering visitors the chance to climb the 276 meters to Paris’s highest point. If the weather permits, you can see as far as the cathedral in Chartres.
Address: 5 avenue Anatole France, Champ de Mars, 75007, Paris.
