Granada Cathedral
Review
Granada Cathedral
(Cathedral of the Incarnation) is the cathedral in the city of Granada, capital of the province of the same name in the Autonomous Region of Andalusia, Spain. (...) (from Wikipedia).
The Cathedral and the Capilla Real
are considered to be two masterpieces of the architecture of Andalusia and Spain. The Cathedral is found at the center of Granada, beside two main streets: Gran Via de Colon and Calle de San Jeronimo. The Capilla Real is adjacent to the Cathedral, on its eastern side. The Cathedral is the crown of Renaissance architecture. The beautiful building façade and the gold-decorated interior won the place its reputation. Construction of the Cathedral started in 1521, and ended two hundred years later.Behind the Cathedral, with its own entrance, is the Royal Chapel. Here, at their request, Queen Isabella and her husband Ferdinand, who ruled the kingdom in the 15th century, were buried.
Address: Gran Via de Colon 5.
