2 nights...Wednesday 5th June, Thursday 6th June.
Day 1:
5th June, Tuesday... Arrive from Rouen and settle in. Visit the tapestry, depicting William the Conquerors invasion of Britain in 1066. The battle of Hastings museum houses the tapestry then visit the old town with its narrow streets and bistros. Visit the Bayeux cathedral after dark when it is illuminated.
Day 2:
6th June, Wednesday.....Do a tour of the D-Day beaches or just do a self drive itinerary. See self drive suggestions in photo sort.
There is a D Day festival and a medieval festival on the 5th and 6th June. Check it out.
Depart Bayeux to go to Amboise on Friday 7th June. Time permitting go to Saint Mont Michel. (1/1/2 hours drive) Then another 3 1/2 hours to Amboise.
