Trafalgar Square is the most famous square in Britain, and it's where the most important demonstrations and rallies take place. At its center is a post towering 44 meters high, and on it is the statue of Admiral Nelson, who lived at the end of the 18th century. The square's famous pigeons were featured in a well known scene in the movie 'Mary Poppins'. On New Year's Eve hundreds of thousands gather here to bring in the new year.
